Agencies
that provide transcription, captioning and rapid data entry already
exist. Schools can partner with these agencies taking on the responsibility
for providing a pre-agreed number of information reporting hours
from the student community. The school can ensure that the students'
curricula cover any special needs of the agency may have, for example
medical transcription experience. The agencies pay the students
directly, but also pay the school a referral fee.
