Students are ready to enter information reporting once they have completed the beginning machine shorthand theory classes and have reached the speed of at least l20 wpm. The student also needs to have completed English and vocabulary classes, medical, legal and technical terminology classes, text entry software classes, word processing classes, computer literacy classes and an internship.

Students will be able to find employment using their text entry skill for different jobs at different speeds and rate of accuracy. The better paying jobs will be for those students who have the higher shorthand skills and most accurate writing skills.
